Blog Assignment #2

WOW! When did you kids become such amazing literary analysts and poets? I'm impressed! I'm actually so impressed that I really think we should take a moment to read some of the comments made by your friends. Let's make that part of Blog Assignment #2. Here you go...

#1. First, choose one or two comments from the previous blog assignment. Write the author(s) of that comment a note -- a positive, classroom-appropriate note -- such as:

Hi Suzy Q! I really enjoyed your poem! I like the creative way you used your dinner table to symbolically represent the strong relationship you have with your family.

#2. The Secret Life of Bees Chapter 3: The epigram at the beginning of Chapter 3 reads, "New beekeepers are told that the way to find the elusive queen is by first locating her circle of attendants" (Kidd 57). After reading the chapter, write 3-4 well-developed sentences explaining your answer to the following questions:

Why does the author choose to begin the chapter with this message?
How does the epigram relate to the chapter?

Note: I urge you, again, to view this blog as a virtual classroom. Diction, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and development of ideas should be considered carefully for this academic forum. Points will be deducted for an absence of these conventions.

Type up your response for both #1 and #2 in a ONE comment to this post (no need for separate comments). Do not forget to include your first and last name!

Happy Blogging!
