Act One Scene Five of Romeo and Juliet begins when Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio go to Capulet's party uninvited. Originally Romeo only acquiesces to crash the party with his cousin and friend to see the love of his life-- Rosaline. While at the party, Romeo spies another beautiful girl who rids Rosaline from his thoughts. The girl's name is Juliet. When they see each other they fall in love immediately. They do not even know that they are from rival families until after they kiss in the middle of the dance floor. Neither Romeo nor Juliet care, however, if their families despise each other.
